World Netball Introduces Five Regional Pathways to Sydney 2027 World Cup

With 10 of the 16 spots still available for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 (NWC2027), World Netball (WN) has officially announced the hosts and dates for the five Regional Qualifiers.

Each Regional Qualifier will see two teams secure qualification for NWC2027, joining the six already confirmed nations—Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, England, South Africa, and Uganda—who qualified based on the WN World Rankings as of 1 December 2025.

The qualification journey will run from August to October 2026, beginning in Asia, where Hong Kong will host the Regional Qualifier from 7–16 August.

September marks the busiest period, featuring three qualifying events: Oceania in Tonga (14–19 September), Africa in Kenya (19–26 September), and Europe in Scotland (25–27 September).

The final two qualification spots will be decided in the Americas, with Barbados hosting the Regional Qualifier from 19–26 October.

With the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 set to take place from 25 August to 5 September 2027, anticipation is building for what promises to be a highly competitive series of Regional Qualifiers, as teams battle for their place on the world stage.
